Greetings, Yule Writer! I am so pleased that we share a fandom. As I say every year, the thing I love most about Yuletide stories is spending time in these worlds and with these characters and anything you write will have that. If you're looking for info on my tastes or for story ideas, you'll find them below, but feel free to interpret these broadly and to follow your own plot bunnies.
General likes and dislikes

Ocean’s (Movies)
Characters requested: Danny Ocean, Rusty Ryan
Rusty: How was the clink? You get the cookies I sent?
Danny: Why do you think I came to see you first?.
I love the clever schemes and how all the details fall into place at the end, tying together things we didn’t realize mattered but are actually important to the plan. I like the banter and camaraderie between the team, the opulent settings, the fact that the targets of their heists are people we love to hate.
I’d like buddy fic or caper fic. If you want to write a heist story with the details of their clever plan, I’m there for that. Or maybe they’re just sitting around reminiscing about outrageous highlights of previous capers? Maybe they’re out to dinner together and casually con someone along the way because how could they not? If you want to go for a scheme (or a vignette from a scheme) that requires Danny & Rusty to pretend to be a couple, that would be relevant to my interests. They could get a little carried away with their roles if you liked.
I am happy for any of the other Ocean team members to appear, except for Tess and Isabel. (I’m not sure how our lovable con men ended up with such straight arrow ladies. I have a hard time seeing those relationships working.)
Crossover thoughts (ignore these unless they spark something in your imagination): They hang out in opposite social and economic brackets, so I’m not sure how this’d even work, but the crossover I’d most like to see here is with Soderbergh’s latest heist movie, Logan Lucky.
Royal Spyness Mysteries (Rhys Bowen)
Characters requested: Georgiana Rannoch, Belinda Warburton-Stoke, Darcy O’Mara
“flirting does not come easily to someone brought up in a remote castle with tartan wallpaper in the bathrooms, bagpipes at dawn and men who wear kilts.”
“I am constantly being reminded that is is my duty to make a good match with some half-lunatic, buck-toothed, chinless, spineless, and utterly awful European royal, thus cementing ties with a potential enemy.”
I love the Wodehousian humor and period settings of this series – witty banter, silly nicknames, comedy of manners, house parties, breakfast trays, maids, royalty, cruises, evening dresses, dinners where it matters who is seated next to whom.
I want a story where things go right for Georgie and she has the upper hand on everyone else. Give me the banter and the humor and sure there should be some slapstick and farce, but at someone else’s expense this time. I want Georgie to have something stunning to wear, plenty of luxurious food, and a fabulous evening or birthday or tea party or something. And a kiss from Darcy.
Crossover thoughts: If Lord Peter Wimsey, Hercule Poirot, or Miss Marple want to make an appearance they’d be welcome.
Sing (2016)
Characters requested: Gunter
“Let the music take control of your body parts.”
I love Gunter’s positive attitude, his generosity, and his occasional cluelessness. Also his spandex and sparkles.
I want to know more about Gunter. Where does he live? Is his house/condo/apartment/RV/dorm room as fabulous as his outfits? Does he have a day job? A significant other? Are Gunter’s parents and siblings as marvelous as he is?
Show me a slice of Gunter’s life. Gunter on a date? Does Gunter like to cook? Gunter visiting one of the other Sing characters post-movie? Gunter organizes a Sing reunion? Gunter’s post-movie career as a Richard Simmons-esque exercise guru? (They have similar taste in costumes, no?) Gunter’s fabulous vacation?
Crossover thoughts: Gunter and Dory seem to me to be somewhat kindred spirits, but I'm not sure how to work that given one is land-based and the other water-based. I suppose if Gunter's fabulous vacation took him to a beach then Dory could make an appearance.
